Agreement and scope
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of:
- c15t.com (project and documentation website);
- related c15t documentation and example websites we operate that link to these Terms;
- the c15t CLI when you use it in connection with the project (including telemetry defaults described in the Privacy Policy);
collectively, the “Sites” (and, where context requires, the “c15t project websites and tooling”).
Not covered by these Terms:
- the Inth commercial platform (Dashboard, paid hosted consent, Code Audit, Agent, billing) — see Inth Terms (https://inth.com/legals/terms-and-conditions);
- open-source package licences published with each c15t repository or package (MIT, Apache, or other as stated) — those licences govern your rights in the code; these Terms govern the Sites and project websites we operate.
By using the Sites, you agree to these Terms and the c15t Privacy Policy (https://c15t.com/privacy) and c15t Cookie Notice (https://c15t.com/cookies). If you use Inth-hosted backends or Inth login from c15t properties, the Inth Privacy Policy (https://inth.com/legals/privacy-policy) and Inth Terms (https://inth.com/legals/terms-and-conditions) also apply to that processing and service.
Order of precedence (c15t sites): these Terms → c15t Privacy/Cookie notices → documentation, except that OSS package licences control the software packages, and any Inth Order Form / MSA / DPA controls commercial Inth services.
Primary markets
We operate the Sites for audiences primarily in the United States (including California), the United Kingdom, and Europe. Mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence may apply and cannot always be waived.
Licence to use the Sites
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Sites for your internal informational, evaluation, and software-development purposes.
You must not:
- scrape, crawl, or bulk-download the Sites in a way that degrades service or bypasses access controls;
- attack, probe, or overload infrastructure except via authorised coordinated disclosure;
- misrepresent affiliation with Inth, c15t, or the project;
- remove proprietary notices from Site materials (other than rights you have under an OSS licence in separate code packages);
- use the Sites to violate law or third-party rights.
We may suspend or block access for abuse or security risk.
Open-source software
c15t libraries and tools distributed on GitHub, npm, or similar registries are licensed under their respective open-source licences. Nothing in these Terms reduces rights granted under those licences. Warranties and liability for the software packages are as stated in those licences (typically AS IS).
If you contribute code to a c15t repository, you must comply with that repository’s contribution terms and licence. Unless a separate Contributor Licence Agreement applies, you grant Inth and recipients of the project a licence under the same terms as the project licence to your contribution.
Documentation is not professional advice
Documentation, examples, and blog content are for general information. They are not legal advice and do not guarantee that any configuration is lawful or compliant in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for your own compliance programme and counsel.
CLI and telemetry
Use of the c15t CLI is subject to these Terms where applicable and to the Privacy Policy.
- Telemetry may be on by default unless you disable it with documented flags or environment variables (for example --no-telemetry / C15T_TELEMETRY_DISABLED).
- If the CLI delegates to other Inth CLI components, additional opt-out variables may apply; disable each layer you do not want.
- Telemetry is intended to include install/command metadata, not secret argument values. Do not put secrets in command lines you do not want processed.
GitHub Actions and third-party platforms
Optional GitHub Actions or integrations run in GitHub’s (or another host’s) environment under that host’s terms and your workflow configuration. Inth is not responsible for GitHub availability, permissions you grant, or repository contents you expose to an action.
Acceptable use
In addition to §3, you will not use the Sites to distribute malware, operate phishing, attempt to bypass security, or harvest personal data unlawfully. You will not use project branding in a way that confuses the public about source or endorsement.
Accounts and third-party logins
If a Site feature links to Inth accounts or third-party login, that feature is also governed by the Inth Terms and the identity provider’s terms. You must keep credentials confidential.
Intellectual property
Site content (documentation text, design, project marks) is owned by Inth or its licensors, except OSS code and third-party marks. No trademark licence is granted except nominative fair use or written permission.
Feedback. If you send ideas or suggestions about c15t, you grant Inth a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them without restriction or attribution obligation.
Privacy
Processing of personal data on the Sites and CLI telemetry is described in the c15t Privacy Policy (https://c15t.com/privacy) and Cookie Notice (https://c15t.com/cookies).
Disclaimers
THE SITES AND PROJECT WEBSITES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTH DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, OR THAT DOCUMENTATION IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTH WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, OR DATA.
INTH’S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SITES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED USD $50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including non-waivable consumer rights).
Note: Liability for paid Inth services is governed by the Inth Terms (https://inth.com/legals/terms-and-conditions) (including the twelve-month fees / $100 structure), not this $50 Sites cap.
Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify Inth against claims arising from your misuse of the Sites, your violations of law, or content you submit (including issue reports or form content), except to the extent caused by Inth’s wilful misconduct.
Suspension and changes
We may modify or discontinue Sites features at any time. We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a new effective date. Material changes may be highlighted in documentation or project channels. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance where permitted by law.
Geographic scope, governing law, and disputes
Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except that mandatory UK or EU consumer protections and other non-waivable rights remain available where they apply.
Informal resolution. Before filing a claim, email legal@inth.com and seek good-faith resolution for 30 days.
Arbitration (US and business users). To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Sites will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its applicable rules, in English, consistent with the dispute resolution section of the Inth Terms (https://inth.com/legals/terms-and-conditions) (including class action waiver).
Opt out. You may opt out of arbitration within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by written notice to legal@inth.com. Venue for court actions where arbitration does not apply is the state or federal courts in Delaware, unless mandatory consumer law requires otherwise.
EU/UK consumers. If you are a consumer in the UK or EEA, arbitration does not deprive you of rights to bring proceedings in your country of residence or before competent authorities where mandatory law so provides.
Miscellaneous
- If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign to an affiliate or successor.
- Entire agreement for the Sites (plus privacy/cookie notices and OSS licences for code).
- Primitive is not part of the c15t Sites service.
- Notices to us: legal@inth.com or the notice address above.
