## Choose c15t for consent your application team can shape

c15t is the stronger fit when consent must share your product's components, state and release process. Your team can design the interface, review vendor rules and choose the backend.

Cookie Control is CIVIC's consent product. Premium offers scan-based setup and a hosted configuration wizard. Its v9 edition uses a JavaScript configuration that developers manage.

## Let Inth run your consent backend

You need a backend to store consent records outside the visitor's browser. [Inth](https://inth.com) builds c15t and hosts that backend and its database for c15t's framework integrations, browser package and headless API. Your consent interface and vendor controls stay in your application.

Connect your application to an Inth project with the [framework setup guide](/docs/frameworks). Inth also serves your consent policy, so static sites can use it without their own application server.

Offline mode keeps choices on the visitor's device and creates no remote consent records. Use it for development and tests, not production.

You can [self-host the c15t backend](/docs/self-host/overview) when your team needs to operate the service. Your team then owns the database, backups, updates and availability.

## Compare what you get

## Use the same components and state as your product

With c15t, the banner, account settings and embedded content can share one consent state. Your team can test these interactions with the rest of the application.

The [framework guides](/docs/frameworks) cover React, Next.js, Vue, Nuxt, Svelte, SvelteKit, Astro, TanStack Start and plain websites.

Use the supplied UI or build it with [headless APIs](/docs/frameworks/react/headless). A product-specific interface does not need to depend on a hosted banner editor.

Cookie Control also exposes code interfaces. Premium's API includes callbacks for acceptance and withdrawal. The distinction is c15t's native component model and editable engine.

## Give visitors control of individual vendors

A c15t visitor can accept a category and refuse one named vendor within it. The [vendor controls](/docs/frameworks/react/vendor-consent) connect that choice to registered scripts, requests and embeds.

Cookie Control's reviewed Premium API uses category callbacks. Its scan and script tools help teams manage those categories with less manual setup.

For Next.js applications, c15t also offers explicit [server and browser response paths](/docs/frameworks/next/rendering). The App Router's default streamed path does not include the banner in initial HTML.

Your team can pin the c15t packages and review releases. Cookie Control v9 also documents versioned scripts and code configuration, so that control is not unique to c15t.

## What c15t does not include

c15t does not supply Premium's website scanner, configuration wizard or privacy policy generator. Your team must supply discovery and legal documents separately.

c15t does not automatically find and stop every tracker already on the site. Register the scripts, requests and embeds that need controls.

Withdrawal normally reloads the page. Optional cookie cleanup cannot delete every vendor cookie or remove data that a vendor already received.

The software has no licence fee. Backend operations and implementation still cost money.

## Try the difference in your application

1. Start with [Inth and your framework guide](/docs/frameworks).
2. Register two vendors in one category.
3. Accept the category and refuse one vendor.
4. Check the interface, actual requests and backend record.
5. Compare the work with the Cookie Control edition that your team would use.

Use the [verification guide](/docs/guides/verify-consent) to check acceptance, refusal and withdrawal. Choose c15t when native product integration and backend control matter most.
